Summer Roundup...

Yep...we're still here. Definitely haven't been the most faithful bloggers in recent weeks, but things have just been a little hectic with baby preparations, work, school, callings, family, friends, etc. However, we've been meaning to post this for awhile...and what better time to do a "Summer Roundup," then in the middle of Fall. So, here is a little of the fun that we experienced during our inaugural Summer in sunny Florida...


Destin...



We had the opportunity to meet up with Chad's sister's family in beautiful Destin, FL. It's only about a 3.5 hour drive from Gainesville...and it was paradise! The water was 85 degrees and crystal-clear, the beach like sugar, and we had a blast spending time with family! It was just what the doctor ordered as far as relaxing breaks go! :)

The Blue Angels

While staying in Destin, we ventured over to nearby Pensacola, FL to take in a practice airshow of the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and check out the Naval Aviation Museum. Chad grew up going to Blue Angel airshows with his family...it was as amazing as he remembered.... It really does make you proud to be an American!
