A Trip to the Windy City…

After spending some time in Nauvoo, and after celebrating Brett’s graduation from dental school in Iowa, we cruised up to the “Windy City” for a couple days of fun and sightseeing. The weather was awesome…not hot and muggy like Chicago can be at this time of year. In fact, Lake Michigan obliged our stay with a nice little breeze to make it quite comfortable. We enjoyed the beautiful city by taking a river/harbor architecture cruise at sunset, window shopping along Michigan Avenue, touring Grant and Millennium Parks to see the infamous Buckingham Fountain and silver “bean,” checking out Navy Pier, and taking a morning tandem bicycle ride along Lake Shore Drive and over to Wrigley and Soldier Fields. We had a great time, and all in all, it was a pleasant little vacay!
